Jean Daurat[both: zhAN dOrA´] Pronunciation Key, 1508?1588, French classical scholar. He taught (154656) at the CollEge de Coqueret at Paris. Among his pupils were the poets Ronsard, Du Bellay, BaIf, and Belleau, who included him in the PlEiade (see under Pleiad).
