Glamorgan[glumOr´gun] Pronunciation Key or Glamorganshire[–shir´´, –shur] Pronunciation Key, former county, S Wales. In 1974, Glamorgan was divided among the nonmetropolitan counties of West Glamorgan, Mid Glamorgan, and South Glamorgan; these were abolished in a further reorganization in 1996.
