Robert Cedric Sherriff, English Literature, 20th Century To The Present, Biographies

Robert Cedric Sherriff 1896–1975, English dramatist. His best-known work is the play, Journey's End (1929), a realistic story about combat in World War I. His other dramas include St. Helena (with Jeanne de Casalis, 1936) and Home at Seven (1950). Sherriff also wrote novels and film scripts such as Goodby, Mr. Chips (1936) and Odd Man Out (1945).
