Canyon Natl. Recreation Area in NW; Brundage Mt. and Payette Lakes ski
areas in NE. Lost Valley Reservoir in center; Hells Canyon Dam (NW) and
Oxbow Dam (W) are both on Snake R. Formed 1911.
