crops); fisheries, nurseries. Includes part of Huron Natl. Forest in SW
⅓ of co., separate small unit in NE (including Jewell
L. campground). Hubbard L. (resort) is in N; Alacoma Dam Pond in SW
(formerly Bamfield Pond) several other small lakes, especially SW;
Negwegon State Park in NE corner; Harrisville State Park in E (both on
L. Huron); Mt. Maria Ski Area S of Hubbard L. Organized 1869.
