Gulf of Mexico, bet. St. George (E) and St. Vincent (W) sounds, and
sheltered by St. George Isl.; c.15 mi/24 km
long, 7 mi/11.3 km wide; receives Apalachicola
R. Connected with St. Andrew Bay by Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, which
extends c.6 mi/9.7 km up the mouth of
Apalachicola R. and through L. Wimico.
