19,965), NW Iowa; Storm Lake; 42°44'N 95°09'W. Prairie agr.
area (hogs, cattle, poultry; corn, oats, soybeans) drained by Little
Sioux R. and by headstreams of Raccoon, Boyer, and Maple rivers;
includes reclaimed swampland and has system of drainage ditches. Sand
and gravel pits. Wanata State Park in NW corner. Storm L. in S has
several local parks along its shores. Pickerel L. in NE corner (glacial
origin). Formed 1851.
