sheep, poultry; dairying). Numerous lakes and ponds including Highland
L. in NE and Spofford L. in W; resorts on lakes. Drained by
Ashuelot R. and headwaters of the Contoocook R. Chesterfield Gorge
State Park in W; Pisgah State Park and Wantastiquet Natural Area in SW;
Rhododendron and Monandnock state parks in SE, including Monadnock Mt.
