corner, from city of Portland to N. Agr. (apples, cherries, pears,
plums, peaches, grapes, berries, wheat, oats, barley, corn, potatoes;
sheep, hogs, cattle); nurseries. Part of Mt. Hood Natl. Forest in E,
including Mt. Hood (11,239 ft/3,426 m), the
highest mt. in Oregon, on border bet. Clackamas and Hood cos. Table
Rock Wilderness Area in S; Milo McIver State Park in N center. Molalla
R., Mary S. Young, and part of Tryon Creek state parks in NW. Founded
in 1843.
