Natl. Historic Site 1977. Her personal retreat, including 2 restored
bldgs., tennis court, rose garden, and playhouse on 180
acres/73 ha, lies 2 mi/3.2 km E of
Roosevelt Home. After the death of FDR in 1945, she lived here until
her death in 1962. This is the only natl. historic site dedicated to a
president's wife. Cottage was built for her by her husband in
1925.
