(paper and metal prods., electronic equip., chemicals, candy, storage
tanks, mining equip., explosives); poultry; alfalfa, oats; dairying;
timber; tourism, recreation. In 1917, Hibbing was moved
2 mi/3.2 km S to make room for one of the
world's largest open-pit iron mines. Mine viewing point located in
densely forested region rich with wildlife. Hunting and camping are
popular activities in the area. Hibbing Airport
