electronic equip., construction materials). RR junction. Several
automobile models were pioneered in Jackson in the early 20th cent. The
first Republican convention was held in the city on July 6, 1854; a
tablet marks the site. Jackson Community Col. to S; Michigan Space
Center to S; Reynolds Field Airport to W. Nearby are Spring Arbor Col.
and a state prison. Inc. 1857.
