automobile models were pioneered in Jackson in the early 20th cent. The
first Republican convention was held in the city on July 6, 1854; a
tablet marks the site. Jackson Community Col. to S; Michigan Space
Center to S; Reynolds Field Airport to W. Nearby are Spring Arbor Col.
