Centennial Mts. as Red Rock R. near Contentintal Divide (Mont.-Idaho
state line); flows W through Upper and Lower Red Rock lakes, then NNW
past Lima, to Clark Canyon Reservoir where it becomes Beaverhead R.;
then flows NNE past Dillon joined by Big Hole and Ruby rivers near Twin
Bridges; continues as Jefferson R. N and E to point just NE
of Three Forks, where it joins Madison and Gallatin rivers to form the
Missouri R. (28 mi/45 km WNW of Bozeman).
