Kabah
(kah-BAH), historic site, SW Yucatan, Mexico,
12 mi/19 km S of Mexico Highway 261 from
Uxmal. This site is representative of Puuc architectural style and is
dominated by a Palace of Masks, which is decorated with elaborate stone
masks of Chac, the rain god. Across the road is a freestanding arch
marking the spot where a Mayan road once entered Kabah from Uxmal.
