Molokai isl., Hawaii (HI). Kalaupapa leper settlement was on W side of
peninsula; village of Kalawao in E side. Leper colony ended in 1969.
Kalaupapa Natl. Historic Park authorized in 1980; co. continues to
exist in name only, with Kalaupapa as its seat; Kalaupapa Airport and
Molokai Lighthouse at Kahiu Point, N tip of peninsula.
