(KAH-nai-O-hai), Hawaii (HI), on the E coast of Oahu

Honolulu. Protected by coral reefs and dotted with isls. City of
Kaneohe on SW end of bay. The shores of the bay are rimmed with anc.
fishponds built by the Hawaiian chiefs. Univ. of Hawaii Marine
Laboratory on Coconut Isl.; state park; Kaneohe U.S. Marine Corps Base
is to E, at N end of Mokapu Peninsula.
