co., W central Maine, on the Kennebec, and
5 mi/8 km SW of Skowhegan; 44°43'N
69°48'W. Light mfg. (shoes). In 17th cent. Norridgewock Indians here
were visited by Jesuit missionaries; monument commemorates chapel of
Sebastien Rasles who, with the Indians, was killed by English in
1724. Inc. 1788.
