Fla.; rises in extensive central Fla. lake system (with L. Apopka at
its upper end); flows N, receiving outlets of Silver Springs and Orange
L., then turns E, converging with St. Johns R. near Welaka. The upper
course, extremely tortuous, is dredged to Leesburg.
