dairy prods.); fishing; resorts. Mfg. in Ontonagon. Boundary with
Gogebic co. (S) and Iron co. (SE) coterminous with Central and Eastern
time zone boundary. Ontonagon co. westernmost extension 89°50'W of
Eastern time zone (extends further W in Ontario, Canada to 90°W).
Porcupine Mts. are in NW, part of Porcupine Mts. State Park in W; part
of Ottawa Natl. Forest in S ½ of co. and part of
Gogebic L., on S boundary; Ontonagon Indian Reservation in NE.
