Nebraska, Wyo., Idaho (ID), Oregon (OR), and Wash. It is an affiliated
area of the Natl. Park Service, whose role it is to implement and
manage the plan to preserve this primary route of the Oregon Trail
(2,000 mi/3,219 km long), used by pioneer
settlers during the 1840s, and 125 other associated historic
sites.
