capacity 1,070,000 acre-ft. Main reservoir of North Platte project.
Formed by Pathfinder Dam (masonry; 214 ft/65 m
high), built (1913) for irrigation. Immediately above dam is Sweetwater
(R.) Arm, 12 mi/19 km long to W,
3 mi/4.8 km wide. Alcova Reservoir is
downstream (NE); Kortes Dam is upstream (S) at headwaters of Pathfinder
Reservoir; large Seminoe Reservoir 4 mi/6.4 km
