Power , county ( 1,442 sq mi/3,735 sq km; 1990 pop. 7,086), SE Idaho; American Falls; 42°42'N 112°51'W. Livestock-raising and agr. area (cattle, sheep; dairying; alfalfa; wheat, rye, potatoes, barley) drained by Snake R. and Bannock Creek, and lying partly in Snake R. Plain. American Falls Dam, at American Falls, is used in generation of power and forms American Falls Reservoir along N border. Pocatello Municipal Airport in NW corner. Part of Fort Hall Indian Reservation is in mt. region in NE. Part of Curlew Natl. Grassland in S; Massacre Rocks State Park in W; part of Sawtooth Natl. Forest in SW corner. Formed 1913.
