Erie co., N central Ohio, a port of entry on Sandusky Bay of L.
Erie; 41°27'N 82°43'W. Its natural harbor has coal-loading docks,
and sand, gravel, and salt are also shipped. Sandusky has a fishing
industry and many assorted mfg. Plastics mfg. (vehicle trim), auto
chassis systems. It has been a tourist center since the 1880s. Nearby
are Cedar Point, a summer resort with a large amusement park; Kelleys
Isl. and numerous other small isls.; Blue Hole Spring; Crystal Rock
