Sunshine Skyway Bridge , S Fla., carring Interstate Highway 275 across the mouth of Tampa Bay bet. St. Petersburg in Pinellas co. and Brandenton in Manatee co.; 11 mi/18 km span. One of Fla.'s most famous landmarks, it was rebuilt in the mid-1980s following a disasterous barge collision with the bridge that killed more than 30 people when a section of the roadway collapsed.
