Valle de Tehuacan Ecological Reserve
(VAH-yai dai
te-hwah-KAHN), a biological reserve, in SW Puebla, Mexico,
17 mi/27 km SW of Tehuacan on Zapotitlan
R. Wild corn dated 20,000 B.C. was found in caves in the Valley of
Tehuacan. Large deposits of fossilized sea life dated 120 million
years ago have also been discovered in this valley. Some of these
artifacts are on display in the Mus. of the Valley of Tehuacan
(Museo del Valle de Tehuacan), which is housed in the 16th-cent.
