drained by Conewango and Brokenstraw creeks. Mfg. at Warren. Oil wells
and refineries. Agr. (corn, oats, hay, alfalfa, potatoes; sheep, hogs,
cattle; dairying). Had lumber boom in mid-19th cent. followed by oil
boom. Chapman State Park in S center. Part of Allegheny Natl. Forest in
E and SE. Formed 1800.
