granite quarries (which have long been in operation), and a book
lithography firm. Mfg. also of textile machinery and electronics. Of
interest are 2 saltbox houses (17th cent.) and the Old Fletcher Tavern
(1713). Includes villages of Forge Village, Graniteville (site of
former granite quarries). Nashoba Valley Ski Area. Settled 1653, set
off from Chelmsford and inc. 1729.
