WILDLIFE SPECIES: Asio flammeus | Short-Eared Owl
GENERAL DISTRIBUTION : The short-eared owl occurs on all continents except Australia and Antarctica [5,12,28]. In North America, it is distributed from Alaska and all Canadian provinces except the Northwest Territories south through the conterminous United States to central Mexico. It also occurs on Pacific and Caribbean islands including Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands [12,22,23,28].
