TAXONOMY : 
The currently accepted scientific name of fringed brome is Bromus
ciliatus L. [37,59].  It is a member of the Poaceae family.  There
are two recognized forms [66]:  

B. c. f. ciliatus
B. c. f. intonus (Fern.) Seymour

Some authorities classify the tetraploid race of this plant as a
distinct species, B. richardsonii Link [27,32].
