SPECIES: Tamarix aphylla | Athel Tamarisk
GENERAL DISTRIBUTION : Athel tamarisk is an introduced species native to Africa and the Middle East [1,16,20,21]. It has escaped cultivation in some areas of the United States but has not naturalized. It occurs from southern Texas to southern Arizona and California [1,16,20,31].
