DISTRIBUTION AND OCCURRENCE

SPECIES: Erythronium grandiflorum | Glacier Lily
GENERAL DISTRIBUTION : Glacier lily is distributed from southern British Columbia and Alberta south to California and Colorado, excluding Nevada [29]. Erythronium grandiflorum distribution by taxa is as follows: E. g. var. grandiflorum - occurs throughout the range of the species. E. g. ssp. chrysandrum - southern part of the species' range in Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho [14] E. g. var. nudipetalum - regional endemic in central Idaho [14] E. v. var. candidum - northeastern Washington, northern Idaho, and northwestern Montana In Glacier National Park, Erythronium g. var. candidum (white glacier lily) is found along Inside Road from Quartz Creek to Camas Creek [2]. It has not been listed as a community dominant or indicator, but it has been listed as a principal species in a Festuca community in northern Washington and Idaho [28].
