FIRE ECOLOGYFIRE ECOLOGY OR ADAPTATIONS:Tester [68] evaluated the response of oak savanna and prairie species to fire frequency in east-central Minnesota. Over 20 years, plants were subjected to prescribed fire in frequencies from 2 to 19 fires in that period. Percent cover of hairy grama was significantly (p=.041) positively correlated to increasing fire frequency.
