FIRE ECOLOGY OR ADAPTATIONS :
Postfire regeneration strategies of grey dogwood are not documented in
the literature. It probably survives fire by sprouting from rhizomes.
It also produces an abundance of soil-stored seed [23], which may
germinate after fire.
