SPECIES: Carex rossii | Ross' Sedge
GENERAL DISTRIBUTION : Ross' sedge is a cordilleran species which occurs from Manitoba to Alaska south to California, Arizona, and New Mexico, and east to Minnesota [13,16,24,30]. East of the Rocky Mountains its occurrence is irregular [19]. Ross' sedge occurs in isolated stands in South Dakota and Michigan [19,24]. It also occurs in forest understory but usually is not dominant there [17,28].
