FIRE ECOLOGY OR ADAPTATIONS : 
Multiflora rose probably sprouts from the root crown, roots, and
rhizomes following low-severity fire.  It establishes on disturbed sites
from animal-dispersed seed [5].


POSTFIRE REGENERATION STRATEGY : 
   Small shrub, adventitious-bud root crown
   Rhizomatous shrub, rhizome in soil
   Initial-offsite colonizer (off-site, initial community)
