Dubai aquarium – Dubai
Dubai Aquarium and Discovery Centre developed and operated by Oceanis Australia Group in Dubai Mall having one of the world’s largest Acrylic Panel. The size of the panel is 32.88 m wide × 8.3 m high × 750 mm thick and weighing 245,614 kg.
The acrylic viewing panel is larger than Japan’s Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, smaller than Singapore’s S.E.A Aquarium and China’s Chime-Long Ocean Kingdom. 10 million litres of water used in this aquarium. Its transparency gives visitors clear views of over 33,000 marine animals on display.
S.E.A Aquarium – Singapore
S.E.A Aquarium is in Marine Life Park. Marine Life Park is a part of Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa, Singapore. S.E.A Aquarium is one of the world’s largest aquarium. This Aquarium contains 45,000,000 litres of water for more than 100,000 marine animals of over 800 species.
The centerpiece of the Aquarium is the Open Ocean tank. It has the world’s largest viewing panel, 36-metre wide and 8.3-metre tall which is intended to give visitors the feeling of being on the ocean floor.
Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium – Japan
The Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is located within the Ocean Expo Park in Okinawa, Japan. It was the largest aquarium in the world until it was surpassed by the Georgia Aquarium in 2005. The aquarium is made up of four floors with tanks containing deep sea creatures, sharks, coral and tropical fish.
The aquarium is set on 19,000 m² of land with a total of 77 tanks containing 10,000 m³ of water. Whale sharks and manta rays are kept alongside many other fish species in the main tank. The aquarium holds 80 species of coral.

The Georgia Aquarium is a public aquarium in United States. It houses more than 100,000 animals, representing 500 species and fresh water. The Aquarium’s notable specimens include four young whale sharks, 3 beluga whales, 13 bottlenose dolphins and four manta rays.
The Aquarium 550,000 square feet(13 acres) covered space. Its tanks hold 8,000,000 of fresh and salt water. The 16,400 square feet Oceans Ballroom accommodates 1,100 seated guests (1,600 standing) and features two 10 by 28 feet windows into whale shark and beluga whale exhibits.

uShaka Marine World is a 16-hectare theme park which was opened in 30 April 2004 in Durban, South Africa. It comprises 4 sections: uShaka Sea World, uShaka Wet’n Wild, uShaka Beach and uShaka Village Walk.
uShaka Sea World is the fifth largest aquarium in the world with 32 tanks totaling 17,500 cubic meters of water. The underground aquarium is designed around five shipwrecks with its entrance through the above ground “Phantom Ship” which contains several restaurants.
