Pinchas Zukerman 1948, Israeli violinist and conductor, b. Tel Aviv. A violin protEgE of Isaac Stern, he came to the United States in 1962. He made his New York City debut in 1963. Zukerman is a noted chamber music performer. He was musical director of the St. Paul (Minn.) Chamber Orchestra from 1980 to 1987.
